DeSoto Beach Hotel
The hotel is located right on the beach, offering guests easy access to the beautiful Tybee Island Beach.

In checking in, the lady in front desk was nice and gave me all information what I needed and answered all my questions. Room was clean. Housekeeper lady was extremely nice and helpful. During checking out, the young lady was also very friendly and nice. All areas are well maintained, clean and cozy. I spent wonderful time with my family in wonderful hotel DeSoto. Thank you for all.
Although many things were good efficient, helpful staff, clean, spacious rooms, nice breakfast, beautiful view of the ocean and nice beach walk; the maintenance issues were concerning. We arrived and were meeting friends downtown for dinner, but we had no hot water, room 304. We were moved to another room, 204 and we're to late to shower before dinner and too tired after dinner. I tried to take a shower the next morning, the water was only lukewarm but I got in the shower anyway and it turned ice cold. We called again they called a plumber and my husband took a warm, not hot, shower before the wedding. Other issues, the bathroom door would not close, the toilet ran water and we had to take the top off to fix it each time we flushed. I know we came in off season, January and it is a older hotel, but a hot shower and a functional toilet are necessary anytime of the year.
This was my first time staying at the DeSoto hotel. While the room was mostly clean, the floors could definitely use more cleaning. The carpet area is sticky and very uncomfortable to walk on without shoes. All the staff were kind and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.
