Excellent location with a lot of potential, but doors that need to be straightened, almost no lights in rooms and general minimal level of upkeep and lack in attention to details all over are really holding this place back from being a five star in an area that begs for it.

The room was very clean and spacious, and the lobby was nicely designed and inviting.
First room we checked in to #414, you could not open the door without a ring as though you were a linebacker and push it open with every ounce of muscle you had. The bed was not completely made. The floor looked as though it had not been cleaned in months upon months. The desk clerk was very accommodating and move us to another room. The only complaint with this room, is the refrigerator did not work at all and the shower floor needs to be bleached to get the stains out so it will look clean. We will not return.

The property is clean and charming, with a friendly and attentive breakfast staff. Room was clean and tidy, well appointed for a historic stay.
Location is great!
