We really enjoyed the resort,The quality of the staff was excellent as they were both friendly and professional.
Skamania is terrific. My only suggestion is that you improve the quality of your food service. While the hotel rating is a 10, the food rating would be a 3.
Very enjoyable stay. The breakfast omelette was very good.
Could be no better.

The Skamania Lodge is the destination wedding spot that my daughter and her fiancé chose. So roughly 45 50 guests stayed at the hotel of 109 guests. Most had a great experience. The rooms are decently appointed. To go room service was professional, prompt and tasty. The only complaint is the elderly hostess at the restaurant. She is rude, unwelcoming and unaccommodating. Once you were seated the service and food service were great.
We stayed here for two nights and wished it was many more! This lodge has everything a family could need! We loved it so much, we didn’t leave the lodge at all. We have an adventurous toddler and we didn’t even have to leave the property to tucker him out! We hiked out from the lodge for a bit and enjoyed a sunset stroll on the paved walkways around the golf course. Our son played on the giant boulders out back while we enjoyed a glass of wine on the back patio with a gorgeous view of the river. We sat by the fire some and played in the pool three times! Two of those times we had it all to ourselves. We enjoyed the outdoor spa and I stayed behind to relax in the women’s only spa in the locker room. The gift shop had lots of neat little items and things. This place is perfect! The rooms were clean and staff was incredibly friendly. We have already planned on coming back next year and likely the year after that!
The setting in the Columbia Gorge is exquisite and access via Hwy 14 is easy. The staff is welcoming and friendly. My room with river view was clean. Walking the grounds is safe, outdoor seating is generous. The weather was very nice. I recommend spending time in Stevenson, where the shops are friendly and stylish, where the cafes are welcoming and the trails along the river are beautiful and accessible.
Very special property with great amenities.
