We needed a close stay after a grandparents get away! Cobblestone was close, clean and excellent service and accommodations! Room was great and a quick hot breakfast!
We arrived around 7:00 pm Thursday evening the 3rd of August. The young woman behind the counter was working on the computer and did not even acknowledge me for several minutes then told me she would be with me in a few minutes. I would estimate it was around five minutes total. I had called and made reservations several days earlier and had specifically asked for a Handicapped room because I am a disabled veteran and my wife must use a walker or a wheelchair. I also advised that I have a service dog. After the clerk finished what ever she was doing on the computer and I gave her my information she told me that our room was on the second floor and that “it looks like you need one on the first floor (No elevator).” She said she would swap our room with someone else who hadn’t arrived yet and put him on the second floor. She gave us room 127 which was on the first floor and fairly close to the entrance/exit. It was NOT a handicapped room. I was therefore unable to take a shower before leaving the next morning. The complimentary breakfast was OK, but when we were leaving and needed a cup of ice, the ice machine was out of service and the morning clerk offered no alternatives. The room was clean, except the floor, smelled clean and looked nice. However, the small refrigerator was turned to the warmest setting, leaving our blue ice packets unfrozen and our milk and pop warm.
