Very pretty hotel in a lovely setting, especially for a wedding. Exterior plantings are gorgeous. But within the hotel the elevators didn’t work. And this apparently has been going on for weeks. The bathroom in our room was in desperate need of updating. Moldy caulk in the shower. Terrible lighting in both the room and bathroom. Not particularly clean either (hair in the sink drain). Service was very good, but as guests of a wedding at 5:00 we were disappointed that our room wasn’t ready until 4:00.

Well where do I start, upon checkin we were greeted great given our room which was supposed to be a King suite double bed for three, Well we went to the room it was like a college dorm room. We then went back to the front desk to let them know of the error we we told that’s what we booked I then showed her my reservation number and itinerary that clearly showed three people. We told that they could give us a rollaway bed it was explained to them that the room was to small for that and asked her if she would like to see it her reply being no ,and there was nothing she could do due to them being sold out the whole weekend. She then said she would talk to her manager she then left and came back and told us basically no and it was nothing they could do according to her manager. The other young lady advised her maybe use the room for the night and put us in a different room the next day to the response of the other lady no. I then demanded to speak to the manager who finally came out I showed him my paperwork when the young lady chimed in did you put the numbers on that referring to my emailed itinerary which was an insult. After going back and forth the manager found a few “rooms” to show us on the 5th floor. These rooms were not much better but it was one that accommodated us and we still needed a rollaway bed. From what we were told this floor was renovated after Covid ,to us it seemed like they were still in the process of renovating. Then there was only one elevator which you could hear all night, it took ten minutes for the elevator at times and we had to take the stairs when we didn’t want to wait,while we waited we exchanged stories of this establishment with other guests and everyone was disappointed ,they all complained about their rooms being to small the elevator and how it was like they just slapped paint on the walls on that floor. However I’d like to say with the exception of the first lady at the front desk the rest of the staff was kind and courteous and very polite, even the manager came around and was apologetic. I do understand that they were sold out that weekend however we had paid for this trip a month or more in advance and to be treated like we were was an outrage they may lose business due to this there was a lot of unhappy people this past weekend.
