In all the years I'd been coming to San Francisco, I never noticed this charming hotel of a bygone era. I loved the elegant lobby and my spacious room with all the amenities The bathroom looked brand new.

I loved the hotel’s decor in public spaces as well as individual rooms. It was both invigorating and calming. I had a very good experience with the staff who were very courteous, professional and responsive to questions and requests for help. I would stay at this location again.
The location was easy to reach and close to where I was meeting with friends. The room was comfortable and clean and I especially appreciated the help of Maria at the front desk. It also was convenient to have the restaurant, Mel’s Kitchen, adjacent to the hotel. Only drawbacks were noise outside, especially sirens of ambulances headed to the nearby hospital and the lack of a window shade in the bathroom for privacy since my room faced a building across a side street.

The decor was nice, but the room size was so small for the price I paid. Parking was cramped. Didn’t like this location at all.
pricey, but very nice and I don't travel at all. Going to SF was because I needed cancer treatment at CPMC.
Loved staying at this wonderful place. Starting with the tasteful, beautiful interior design and decorations, to the cleanliness and available amenities, spending the night in this room was a pleasure. Making reservations, check in and check out were easy and staff was knowledgeable and polite. Will stay here again!
Great experience and only thing missing is a simple wine bar.
