Harvest Barn Inn
The cool thing about Harvest Barn Inn is that it offers a complimentary full breakfast and has a terrace with beautiful views.
The Inn is charming, very tastefully decorated and quite welcoming. Sitting on the porch viewing the Connecticut River and surrounding trees is restful and healing. As is the back of the Inn. One common area is available for making odd hour coffee and tea, heating up meals stored on a refrigerator shelf thoughtfully designated for guests, eating delicious homemade cookies and perusing very interesting books. Or playing old fashioned board games! My husband had fun playing a “vinyl” aka 33 rpm record one afternoon from a diverse selection available to guests in the adjacent two room common area which extends the vibe where intimate breakfasts are served. The breakfasts are phenomenal. I’ve traveled both domestically and international and the cooking skill and caliber of presentation is literally the best I’ve ever experienced. That homemade granola on the yogurt parfait is a craving in the making! The eggs etc are varied day by day and the sweet dessert I frequently saved for later. It’s a creaky old farmhouse so booking a room upstairs requires the ability to climb stairs. I had a hip replacement last year and did just fine. There are three first floor rooms as well. The Innkeepers are lovely, sincere, welcoming folks. They work very hard to customize the visit based on guest personal preferences. Their goals of sustainability and support for community are laudable. We will definitely stay there again and again when we visit our Vermont friends. I wouldn’t even consider anywhere else. PS they are quite affordable for the area but I’m hesitant to say that because part of me wants to keep this gem to myself! But I also want them to be successful!

Expedia Group verifies all reviews to ensure that the customer has indeed booked on our site. To encourage customers to submit their reviews, we send an email containing a link to evaluate the hotel to which we sometimes attach a reduction or Expedia Rewards voucher to use on a future trip. We post all reviews whether they are positive or negative, to the extent that they respect our content directives. This monitoring is automated.
