The Brookings Super8 was quite nice. Rooms were clean, everything worked, breakfast was good and plentiful. When making my reservation I could not reach the hotel direct. Every listed number went to a third party reservation service. They quoted me $132 for the room because "there are only two rooms left." They also refused my normal military discount for the same reason. On arrival I asked the desk person about being full. They actually had 9 rooms still available and they were all $89 per room. When I got my receipt the room was in fact $89 with an additional $40 charge for the third party biller. I feel like I was totally lied to and ripped off.
