The Emerald Resort offers a variety of amenities including a spa, golf course, outdoor and indoor pools, and multiple dining options.
The receptionist was super friendly and welcoming. Once I arrived in my room, the toilet was clogged and started flooding the bathroom. Maintenance came and unclogged it but cleaned the floor with just white towels and when I asked if someone was going to mop, he said no because it was all set. I tried calling the front desk to ask for housekeeping to come to mop the floor, but the phone did not work. I then walked to the front desk and was informed that phones were not working, which is a safety issue for me. The same gentleman returned to clean the floor but only brought a bottle of bleach. He used so much bleach(still no water) that I could not breathe and had to open the sliding door to air the place. Housekeeping had to come and clean with Fabuloso to help with the bleach smell. The place seems slightly outdated and the carpets were dirty. It was musty, too. I really hope the next time we visit, there will be some improvements.
