My four year old granddaughter's bowel movement clogged the toilet in the room. My daughter went to the front desk to report it. Attendant handed her a plunger in a plastic bag stained with old excrement and told her "it happens all the time." This is so wrong on several levels. First, if it happens often, why isn't the toilet fixed?? Second, since when do guests have to plunge their own toilet? Third, handing an excrement stained bag to a guest? GROSS! Fourth, no PPE or gloves were given to her. Anyway, after almost throwing up, my daughter bravely took care of the problem FOR THE MOTEL. I took the plunger back to the front desk and asked since when do guests have to take care of their plumbing issues? Clerk told me my daughter "asked for the plunger" which is totally untrue daughter just said "my daughter plugged the toilet." I'm not sure if I will EVER stay at that motel again; I'm sure my daughter never will! I hope this isn't representative of the way AmericInn traditionally treats its customers!
We only had one complaint about the stay was we had several children there and the pool was closed because of poor upkeep!
